Wordless Wednesday Suddenly Became Wordy

Oh, my dearest friends…I had the most awesome retreat with great pictures to share with you for Wordless Wednesday, AND the best TEXTURE pictures I’ve ever seen for Texture Tuesdays.  But, Alas, I thought I was deleting only one picture from my Galaxy phone, and it turned out to be a folder of pictures.  I am devastated.  We tried all kinds of recovery…they’re gone. And I’m sad. BOWL OF TEXTURE – There was a bowl of texture…no one noticed but me…but since I look for great stuff for my buddy Narami, I really noticed.  Spheres with seeds glued to them and a hardened artichoke and little tiny spiky nature balls…I mean I’ve never seen so much texture in a bowl.

I’m not sure why Samsung allows that to happen so easily.  I click a box, and instead of ridding myself of one picture, it’s a folder of pictures…there should be a bigger warning…or it should look like a folder…or a button that says ARE YOU REALLY REALLY SURE?  So I have nothing to share with you my most beautiful friends…maybe tomorrow.

However, I must get super busy because my daughter is coming home in the evening and I need to finish my classroom….Go Go Go!  Cheer me on.  Hugs and a great HUMP day to you.  Love, Marie

We Need Poets! – “I BECOME” – Our latest Collaboration

BuH9nCyCQAAS_f8

I Become a Harmonious Rhyme with the world around and within through Quiet, Calm, Peaceful Moments:

Breathe

Slow

Gently

Know

Love

Peace

Joy

Flow

Only

Breathe

Slow

Deep

Ever

Linger

Serenity

Keep

Only

Breathe

Sweet

Free

Quietly

See

Touching

Thee.

Typing words with my fingers on the keyboard of my laptop, I become Writer.

Making music with my fingers on the keyboard of my piano, I become Musician.

Darning my husband’s socks and preparing his supper, I become Wife.

Listening to my children and giving them advice, I become Mother.

Feeding my dog and taking her for a walk, I become Mistress.

Saying hello to the people next door and watching for strangers, I become Neighbor.

Being concerned for the poor and oppressed, I become Citizen of the World.

Doing all these things, I am simply just . . .  ME.

I live in a moment” live it well

engrossed, commited,pride to swell

I become what is to be expected

living this very moment, not regretted

  I become a daughter to grow, to be pampered

 My in-laws know me as a home maker

I display my cookery skills for a sumptous dinner

Being a mother I donn all the hats possible

a nanny, friend, teacher and councellor,

at times hard task master but most of the times protector

 I am a sister to share, laugh till I roll down

 argue till I collapse, paint the town

    Time to move, I become ” Movers and Packers “

Living out of boxes, posted to exotic places

Hey ! I become traveller during vacations

A explorer reaching out to untouched locations

I am a Photographer seeking for perfection

 As soon as I enter the campus, an updated educator

a friend,guide, philospher to young custodians forever

I become a wife to greet my man in the evening

flashing million dollar smile ,fresh and glowing

 Living this very moment totally enchanted

I scribble like a writer to bond with this world

I become a spirited soul when close to GOD

What actions do you do to become part of your world?

I wake up

I become reborn

I wake up my daughter

I become thankful

I see her off to school

I become wistful

I share a cup of tea

I become happy

I get ready for work

I become organised

I start work

i become me

I get back home

I become “she”

A wife ,a mother

I make dinner

I become a chef

I get dressed to go out

I become a lady

The phone rings

I become alert

I step back

I become a doctor

I get back tired but

I become elated

I look in the mirror

I become a stranger

I get to bed

I become a child

I sleep

I become me

I dream

I become free

Poets, we need you.   SJ has become our latest contributor with a picture prompt to start us off.   What great movement in the poem and showing of how she becomes each thing, earth, air, and yes, most importantly human.

(YOU CAN FOLLOW SJ ON TWITTER:  @for_hearts_sake – she doesn’t have a blog yet.   Her Twitter page is beautiful.)

What actions do you do to become part of your world?

I’m especially curious how you are human.

So here’s how to participate:.  Just as before, you can add your contribution in the comment section of this poem,  & I will place them in the order they come as soon as I possibly can. I will put your name (contributor)  at the end of the piece in the same color as your contribution and the names will be in the same order as well.   In a week, I will post the collaboration as a whole.  (But we can always keep adding on!)  Happy writing! ~ Marie

Texture Tuesdays

texture tuesday - spider web debris

The camera didn’t quite capture the angle on this

but the pine needles had fallen into the spider web

and made a very cool pattern in the web.

T texture tuesday spider 2

I loved how the water beaded on this web.

texture tuesday water

The texture of the water as the kids are running

through this…Plus, isn’t it just a fun picture?

I must write a poem about this delight!

(downtown Boise)

texture tuesdays more water

The texture of the rocks in the bottom

of the pool and the water shooting up.

(It’s in Meridian at the Village.)

It seemed this week I have a lot of different water shots.  Boise is blessed with many little pools to observe and play in.  :0)    Those are my blessings for today.

And if you’d love more TEXTURE TUESDAY adventures, , be sure to pop on over and see what Narami and other TEXTURE COLLECTORS ARE FINDING!  (What a most beautiful world we are uncovering.)

If We Were Having Coffee

coffee cup

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I have enjoyed every minute I’ve spent with you learning about your world, no matter where it may be.  Showing me what you see through your eyes and experiencing life through your lens is inspiring and curious to me.  Seeing your pictures of flowers and nature and people engaged in life nurtures my soul  Thank you for being you and being your contribution.  And then I’d ask, what will you do today to LIVE OUT LOUD?

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I loved the movie “Begin Again.” And though I don’t care for senseless use of certain words, the story was full of poetic moments like the romantic relationship & even the breaking up and hardships because it was the human experience in all its glory..and it is romantic, and the music adds an element of magic because it is weaved so well into the story.  My husband, who isn’t usually a fan of music in movies or musicals, really liked the movie.  (Not just a little bit)  AND, he wanted to buy the soundtrack because Kiera Knightly did such a good job.  I think that’s another reason I like the movie because Kiera Knightly and Adam Levine both pursued other passions in their lives not knowing exactly how the world would accept their attempts…they just went for it.  Kiera’s voice is amazing, and the lilt is calming and dreamy.   If you don’t want to see the movie, you might like the soundtrack a lot. Spotify lets you get just the songs you want. :0)

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that though I have to go back to school in two weeks, and I will miss my summer terribly, for I do love my sunshine and my time to create and to just be. But that I’m always excited for new little discoveries with a new group of kids.  It never ceases to amaze me what beauty I will find and the delight in observing their curiosities and inquisitiveness.  (I wasn’t really sure that was a word but I didn’t get redlined.) And I would say that I am truly blessed to have this job.  AND it’s also a blessing to know such AMAZING teachers and collaborate with them.

If we were having coffee, I might ask you what books you’ve read lately.  I’ve read more this summer than usual, but the book I enjoyed the most was “The Light Between Two Oceans” because the characters were so well developed and I was engaged with them to the end.  It really mattered to me what happened to those characters. (Now, that’s a GREAT book!) Bonus:  I got to learn about lighthouses.

If we were having coffee, I would say that it’s really, really cool that I now get to add a coffee talk tab to my categories because I LOVE coffee and friends!

I got this idea from Suzie’s blog who got it from Nerd in the Brain‘s blog, who in turn saw it on the equally fabulous Part Time Monster‘s blog, who found it somewhere else.  As Suzie said so well, the blogging community inspires me!

IF WE WERE HAVING COFFEE, WHAT WOULD YOU TELL ME ABOUT?

Have a most blessed day,

Until we chat again, Marie

B

Have a most blessed day.

New Poetry Collaboration – SOULMATES -Join in!

soulmates-1

A soulmate is someone who has locks that fit our keys, and keys to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely and honestly who we are; we can be loved for who we are and not for who we’re pretending to be. Each unveils the best part of the other. No matter what else goes wrong around us, with that one person we’re safe in our own paradise.
~Richard Bach (Bridge Across Forever)

Even the word soulmates inspires magical thinking.  Search your soul.  How does that other person touch your spirit, inspire you, make you want to be more than you ever thought you could be?

Our last collaboration was a HUGE success!   See it HERE.  There is no wrong way.  As a matter of fact, YOUR style is encouraged and brings interest and new ways of thinking.  Besides, they’re fun to write and challenge us to stretch our spirits.

So here’s how to participate:.  Just as before, you can add your contribution in the comment section of this poem,  & I will place them in the order they come. I will put your name (contributor)  at the end of the piece in the same color as your contribution and the names will be in the same order as well.   In a week, I will post the collaboration as a whole.  (But we can always keep adding on!)  Happy writing!

ROBIN – is starting us off!

The Elusive Bird of Paradise

Do you know someone
cool,
calm,
collected?
Oh, make sure he/she is not aloof.

The bird may be shy,
awkward,
nervous,
inside and out.
Finding himself,
Discovering herself.

Worth waiting for such a rare bird.

Keep as a friend,
observe,
wait,
hope.

The bird may find
his or her wings,
spread her love,
give his adoration
to
You.

I write with hot toes
what the wind worried into sand
words once hid by rocks

startled to reappear
air plays in long forgotten sound
feathered with kind eyes

feet know compassion
teach in freedom understand
their own way speak life

and I listen with heart
time unbends with each shored wave
warm smiles like flowers

uncurl ears unafraid
touched by sun that never burns
but forever lives

like a love that tracks
through shadows to find its mate
never giving up

infinite of reach
to each whispered ululate
unbound this peace

we step through to find
blessed this gift awake in time
life become soul mate

Only you . . .

Know the deepest recesses of my heart,

The secrets that I keep,

Or the thoughts that I think.

* * *

Only you . . .

Can cause my breath to catch,

With a single word,

Or the briefest glance.

* * *

Only you . . .

Make me feel safe in the dark of the night,

When the storm rages,

Or when trouble is at hand.

* * *

Only you . . .

Bring out the best in me,

Even when I’m at my worst,

I strive to be better.

* * *

Only you . . .

Encourage me to pursue my dreams,

To be the person I want to be,

The person that you love.

* * *

Only you . . .

Love me no matter what my faults are,

In good times and in bad times,

In sickness and in health.

* * *

If it is true that everyone has one soul mate,

One person who is their perfect match,

Then I am certain that I have found mine . . .

* * *

Only YOU.

Thou swept me off my feet ! Haven’t thou?

I found my soulmate in thee, Aren’t thou?

“Ay love ! ” Floored I was with thy charm, smitten by sheer simplicity,
Thou took my breath away, respected my inhibitions and individuality;
Winged cupid played his part well, musical notes evolved into symphony,
“Ay me!” my soul and spirit mingled with thine in perfect harmony;

We met, we spoke, we doth lied while exchanging notes,
we tied the nuptial knot, made promises,took eternal vows;
we lived, we moved, I suggested,thou accepted, painted rainbows,
Showered faith and trust, kept a tight leash on fears and sorrows;

Together we nurtured a dream, holding hands never to part,
Together we faced struggles, failures,triumphs,got up again to restart;
Together we weaved carefully the fabric of emotions and learnt the art;
Together we sailed, grew as inseparables, were “soul mates”, never depart;

Memories so sweet, happiness unleashed, joy no dearth,
Our home is an abode of peace, Ah ! Heaven itself on earth;
O, my soulmate, hold my hand in journey between life and death,
Can’t live without thee, thou need to be there till my parting breath,

Lover’s soul never sinks ! Don’t thou know?
Lover’s soul loves pure spirit ! Isn’t so ?

Gratitude and Peace and Newfound things

Today when I was walking in my house I went to pick up a piece of plastic that didn’t make it into the recycling.  I don’t know what it was the packaging for, but it had a piece of paper advertising stuck in it that said:

found art - celebrate today

perfect

And then my dear blogging friend Rhonda, had this special music that brought me such peace.  It deserves to be my meditation for awhile.  His name is   David Nevue.        Click HERE.  (The imagery is beautiful too.

And lastly, complete strangers with compassionate caring hearts dove in and shared their words, their encouragement and collective wisdom, and it was absolutely beautiful.

I am truly blessed on this first day of August.  Thanks for making the world a better place…and thanks for being you!
