Sometimes we find new ways of defining ourselves. Today, I discovered that my daughters and I are:
PLUVIOPHILES! (which upon first impression sounds awful, right?) –
Here’s what the Urban Dictionary says:
(n) a lover of rain; someone who finds joy and peace of mind during rainy days
My brother is a real pluviophile; the Seattle climate will suit him well.
You should share you Pluviophilic pictures with me. Anyone dancing in the rain deserves to be posted out loud. I like the part where it defines us as having “joy.” My favorite word.
Have a most awesome day! ~Nemaste, Marie

I enjoy summer rain, but not winter sleet! I have written a couple of posts about rain, especially on Mondays, since this started my thinking about it while listening to “Rainy Days and Mondays,” by the Carpenters. I had fun thinking of rain references, while my commenters came up with some more! Fun to know the name for those who love rain! Thanks for this one. I will try to remember to add it to my rain post! Smiles, Robin

I can’t wait to read your rain posts Robin.
I agree with you; love spring and summer rain; deplore winter sleet! The Carpenters were one of my favorite bands! I shall have to pop over and see you.

How is it new Elizabeth?
Well comrade! Wouldn’t it be fun to have a big bunch of grown ups all just carefree and letting it go just like children? What a wonderful life!
Thanks for popping by! ~Nemaste, Marie

Don’t you love that picture? It’s blurry…but the original is a little worn. It’s my beautiful daughter soaking the beauty all in. :0) Marie

Awww…I bet!
Do you like the rain Rhonda?
I know how much you like riding your bike,
and my mind races back to when I did that
a lot in the rain. (Not hard rain.)
Have a most blessed day friend, :0) Marie

I do love the rain! Some of my best running time has been in a beautiful, slow rain. This morning was an exhilarating walk with my dog in a misty rain. 🙂
